Hi folks! What a great way to kick off the local election season! Today we had Matt Aiken, candidate for the District 1 County Commission seat, on the show today. As this was just a brief, 30 minute introduction of Matt, we'll certainly be inviting him back for a long stint on the show. Tomorrow, we'll have another District 1 candidate, Butch Palmer, on the show!
Big thanks to DeMarc Campbell for coming on the show today to talk about Augusta Pride. While it was just a radio interview discussing the treatment of homosexuals in the CSRA, I really feel the interview was a big step forward for Augusta. As I mentioned to DeMarc, except for some Iron Age beliefs from some Iron Age book, there's really no reason that gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered people shouldn't be treated just like everyone else. Hopefully, my crazy belief in the equality of all people will take further root in the CSRA.
My neck and back would like to thank Lydia Giusto of Evoke. Lydia is a practitioner of structural integration and an all-around cool person. Whether it's making vegetarian smoothies or roller skating in Sacred Heart, Lydia's got some cool things going on. If you'd like to schedule an appointment with her for some bodywork, shoot her an e-mail at LydiaGiusto@hotmail.com or call her at (706) 627-7979.
Tomorrow on the show I'll be chatting with Butch Palmer, candidate for District 1 Commission seat, scurry off to the 2pm Commission meeting, then return at 4pm for an in-studio with the best darn secularist humanist in all of Columbia County Schools, Greenbrier Senior, Hilary Matfess!
