Hi folks! Hope you enjoyed the show today, I had a lot of fun in the studio making it. So much is going on in the CSRA that's the first hour just isn't enough time to talk about it all. From the battle over the $1.5 million in bronze statues hiding away on the Georgia Golf Hall of fame grounds and the latest candidates for Augusta-Richmond County Commission to this Saturday's Discover Downtown event and next Thursday's Stop Obama Health Care rally . . . so much great stuff and so little time.
I hope you heard my interview with Kate Lee of Oasis Garden. What an awesome place. Don't forget to stop by this Saturday to pick up your free sapling (with the purchase of a Discover Downtown Augusta Passport, of course). Be sure to ask Kate about her bee keeping and how to make a beard out of bees. Hint: It involves the queen. ;->
Also on the show, a cool conversation with Chris Allewelt, owner of New Moon Cafe. While I, of course, enjoyed hearing about the coffees and mega muffins, my favorite part was learning that Chris used to call bingo. And man, was she ever good at it. My attempt to upstage her "O - 34" with my "B - 8" was futile.
Tomorrow on the show, we'll deconstruct some more health care myths, I'll share my experiences from a local candidate's rally, an update on the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame statues mess, in studio interviews with Roy Davenport of Artistic Expressions and Jonathan Pike of Immaculate Conception School, and whatever else in the world I want to talk about . . . hey, it's my show! ;-> See y'all tomorrow at Noon on 1230am or www.newsradio1230.com.
