Call To Action: Save Our Statues

Hi listeners! Wow, was I fired up today for the my "Politically Homeless Hour" from Noon to 1pm on The Anthony Esposito Show. The wonderful folks at the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame that brought you the $18 million boondoggle on Reynolds Street, a.k.a. the former Augusta Golf and Gardens, now want to take over a million dollars of our statues with them as they leave. Read all about it here.

Now, here's where we can make a real difference. The two groups that will decide what happens with the $1 million plus of bronze golf statues are the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and the Georgia State Golf Association. Just like with the health care debate, your voice can make a difference in what happens with this hotly political situation. To make your voice heard and show that you care about the CSRA, write the

Chairman of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame, Bryan Persons at P.O. Box 4468 Macon, GA 31208.

Also, you need to contact the

Georgia State Golf Association and let them know how you feel by calling them at (770) 995-4272, e-mailing them at info@gsga.org, or writing them at 121 Village Parkway, Building 3 Marietta, GA 30067.

If we don't all take the time and effort to stand up for Augusta, then you can say bye-bye to six of these guys:

Also, a big First Amendment thanks to Johnnie Poole for coming on the show and talking extensively about his atheism and former counter-intuitive status as a real-life "atheist in a foxhole" when he was a U.S. Marine in Vietnam.

Tomorrow on the show, we'll have in-studio Augusta State University Counselor, Shannon Nix and the head of Full Circle Refuge, Reverend Devon Harris. Tune in for all this and more on the Golf and Gardens craziness!
