Just like a new episode of Law & Order, today's show was "ripped from the headlines."
From today's Augusta Chronicle, we had District 1 Candidate Butch Palmer on the show. Candidate Palmer gave his versions of events of what happened on September 24 - the date that he is accused of pointing a shotgun at a neighbor that was causing a noise disturbance. Butch outlined what he sees as the big issues in the city - blight and transparency / accountability in the government - and informed everyone of his efforts to get a local chronic nuisance ordinance passed. The model for that ordinance can be seen here and more about Butch's platform can be seen here.
From the cover of this week's Metro Spirit, we had Jezibell Anat on the show. Jezibell is a Wiccan High Priestess and co-Local Coordinator of Augusta Pagan Pride. Augusta Pagan Pride takes place this Saturday, October 3 from Noon to 5pm at the Lake Olmsted gazebo. The festivities include workshops on Wicca 101, Ask the Wizard, and Kitchen Witchery and entertainment by Eastern Star Dance Theatre and the Celtic Crossing Players. To learn more about Jezibel click here and to learn more about her unconventional theatre troupe, Misfit Theatre, click here.
Tomorrow on the show, we've got the new conductor for the Symphony Augusta Orchestra - a man by the name of "Z", the owner of Augusta's first "green" hotel, and more "Mass Transit Mess!" See y'all then . . .
